Mondal ... for the Petitioner The instant revisional application has been filed seeking direction upon the learned Trial Court for expeditious disposal of the proceedings in connection with CGR Case No. 1349 of 2023 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the investigation of the case has ended in a charge sheet and cognizance of the offence have already been taken by the learned Court. The case has been fixed for compliance under Section 207 of the Code of the Criminal Procedure. Respondents have already been served with the police copies. Another accused is evading service of such copies in order to delay the trial.

In such circumstances it would be appropriate to dispose of the instant revisional application by requesting the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore to take appropriate steps for service of copies upon the remaining accused under Section 207 of the

Code of Criminal Procedure. In the event the concerned accused evades such service, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate is expected to take appropriate steps for service of copies and proceed thereafter in accordance with law.

With these observations this revisional application being CRR 3617 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, duly applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all usual requisite formalities. ( Md. Shabbar Rashidi, J.)
