The petitioners have prayed for a direction upon the learned Trial Court for expeditious hearing of G.R. Case No.4273 of 2016 arising out of Bizpore Police Station Case No.285 of 2016 dated 29th June, 2016 under Sections 354/323/325/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is found from the record that the charge-sheet was filed on 6th September, 2016. Thereafter, the learned Magistrate framed charge against the accused after the expiry of about four and half years on 24th March, 2021. Till date the learned Magistrate was not able to examine even any single witness. If charge is framed after a lapse of six years, this Court does not know when the trial of the case can be concluded.

The learned Magistrate is directed to take proactive and effective step to examine the witnesses on behalf of the prosecution and conclude the hearing of the case within one year from the date of communication of this order.

The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.
