He is in custody for 49 days. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Deceased was found in the same room with the petitioner on that date. Cause of death is indicated as head injuries which is ante mortem in nature in the post mortem report. No explanation is forthcoming from the petitioner with regard to the grievous injury on the victim resulting in his death.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
