Nag ..for the State Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the only allegation against the present petitioner is that the petitioner disobeyed public servants and entered into the cordoned off area where a fire was being extinguished. This does not require custodial interrogation.

Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that a notice was issued by the Investigating Agency. The petitioner initially had not met the Investigating Officer, but had prayed for time to comply with the notice. However, pursuant to a direction passed by this Court, the petitioner seems to have complied with the notice. A report to this effect, as filed on behalf of the State, is taken on record. Considering the materials available in the case diary and the fact that the petitioner has complied with the notice issued by the

Investigating Agency, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is allowed.

In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 corresponding to Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023 and on further conditions that the petitioner shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses and shall cooperate with investigation. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
