The subject matter was relating to transfer of the records. The learned Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta would ensure as to whether the records have been transmitted to the Court of the learned Chief Judge, City Sessions Court, Calcutta. Since the order which was passed was directory in nature, I am of the view that no contempt application would lie against the Officer concerned, particularly when the Officer happens to be a Judicial Officer.

Accordingly, CRCLP 26 of 2024 is dismissed.

However, learned Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta would ensure that the records are transmitted as directed above. A copy of the order be communicated to the learned Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta.
