Petitioner was aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities in respect of Sundarban Cyber Crime PS Case No. 02 of 2025 dated 29.03.2025. Subsequently in course of hearing, learned advocate for the State was directed to produce the case diary.

I have perused the case diary and considered the manner in which the investigation has progressed.

Having considered the same and the time period which has lapsed which is more than six months and the fact that investigating officer has come to a conclusion that the loss of Rs.15,00,000/- suffered by the petitioner has been channelized through different accounts in States of Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand including the State of West Bengal, I am of the view that a centralised investigating agency is required to monitor the investigation. Consequently, the case be transferred to Cyber Crime Cell of CID, West

Bengal. The Officer-in-Charge of the said Cell will depute an investigating officer of his choice for carrying out the investigation and inform the progress of the investigation each month to the de facto complainant and also to the jurisdictional court.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 19230 of 2025 is disposed of. Case diary be returned to the learned advocate appearing for the State.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
