It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is the brother-in-law of the victim housewife and has been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim housewife discloses prima facie involvement of the petitioner in attempting to rape her. FIR was promptly registered. Under such circumstances, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
