Anwar Hossain, Ms. Shreyashee Biswas ...For the State The present application for bail has been preferred in connection with Santipur Police Station Case No.19 of 2021 dated 07.01.2021 under Sections 341/325/326/307/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Mr. Ray, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had already suffered incarceration for about 388 days and the case has not yet been committed. In view thereof, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail on any stringent condition.

Mr. Hossain, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the petitioner's prayer and draws our attention to several documents in the case diary.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the materials in the case diary, the nature of accusations, the nature of injury and the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not

inclined to exercise any discretion in his favour. As such, his prayer for bail is refused, at this stage.

Accordingly, the application for bail, being CRM No. 8490 of 2021 is dismissed.

However, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranaghat is directed to commit the case as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.
