1. The petitioner is absconding for three years and warrant of arrest has been issued. Apart from the aforesaid fact, the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. clearly implicates the petitioner with acid attack.

2. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
