The petitioner is aggrieved that revision of her pay scale done by the school authorities, is incorrect.

Consequentially, the step taken by the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of Wet Bengal in asking for refund from the petitioner is also assailed. The representation of the petitioner of July 7, 2025 to the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal is yet to be considered.

The Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal is directed to consider the representation of July 7, 2025 with adequate prior notice of hearing to the petitioner and/or her representative as well as notice to the respondent No.4 or its representative. The entire process should be completed by March 15, 2026.

The Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal will intimate the petitioner and the respondent No.4 of the result of the consideration by March 25, 2026.

The petitioner and the respondent No.4 will be at liberty to disclose any further documents in support of their claim before the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case and the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal will be at liberty to deal with the matter without being influenced by any observation made in this order.

6. Needless to add till the decision is taken and communicated to the petitioner, no coercive steps will be taken to obtain refund from the petitioner in terms of the Memo dated May 26, 2026 bearing Memo.No.511/AD/E. 7.

With the aforestated direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

8. Since affidavits have not been called for, allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied.

9. There shall be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
