1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners want to set up a nursing home and for such purpose applied for Arsenic free water.

3. However, despite making such applications and several representations, the respondents failed to give such supply to the petitioners.

4. Learned counsel for the respondent authorities submits that the Central Ground Water Board is the appropriate authority to be impleaded in such context.

5. However, it is seen that the petitioners have applied in due process of law in a printed

format, which has also been apparently accepted by the respondent authorities.

6. In any event, it is for the respondent authorities to respond to the petitioners'

applications and representations and to decide on the same in accordance with law.

7. Hence, WPA No. 19275 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities, in particular, the respondent no. 2, to decide the representations and applications made by the petitioners for supply of Arsenic free water for the purpose of developing the petitioners'

nursing home at the earliest.

8. Such consideration shall be done within a fortnight from date and a communication of the outcome of the same shall be given to the petitioners within three days thereafter.

9. There will be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
