Liberty is granted to the petitioner to implead the Chairman, Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, Haldia as respondent no.8 in the writ petition.

The cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is a land loser whose land was utilised by the Haldia Development Authority but the petitioner has not been favoured with either adequate compensation or rehabilitation. The petitioner submitted several representations before the authority in this regard which were not heeded to. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the concerned authority to consider the representation submitted by him on 16th December, 2019 within a stipulated period of time.

Upon consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 8th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 16th December, 2019 within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof.

With the directions, WPA 20407 of 2021 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
