An order dated July 27, 2023 was passed in the writ petition holding that, the application for compassionate appointment of the writ petitioner requires consideration by the authorities and that, the financial aspect for compassionate appointment should be enquired into and a report be submitted.

Report dated August 16, 2023 submitted in Court, pursuant to such order, be kept with the record. The report dated August 16, 2023 narrates the financial position of the deceased employee.

It finds that the writ petitioner was eligible for compassionate appointment to the post of Group-D (GDA).

In view of such stand being taken by the authorities, it would be appropriate to dispose of the writ

petition by directing the authorities to grant compassionate appointment to the writ petitioner within four weeks from date subject to police verification and medical examination.

WP.ST 200 of 2015 is disposed of.
