Mr. Suman Ghosh Mr. Sambuddha Dutta ... for the State-respondent (s) The petitioner has challenged the order of arrest as he submits that the grounds of arrest were not supplied to him as also the issue relating to noncompliance of the statutory provisions of the NDPS Act.

Having considered that the prayer for release of the petitioner is on the issues that the grounds of arrest not having been supplied to the petitioner, I am of the opinion that it has been settled that only Habeas Corpus petitions, in this aspect, is maintainable.

Since Rules of this Court provides that habeas Corpus petitions shall be

heard by a Division Bench of this Hon'ble Court, the present writ petition being WPA 19329 of 2025 is not maintainable, as such, is dismissed.

However, the aforesaid dismissal will not preclude the petitioner from preferring a Habeas Corpus petition before a Bench having determination.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
