1. The writ petitioner alleges that the private respondent has filled up the water body. Learned counsel appearing for the private respondent submitted that even before the complaint was lodged by the writ petitioner, the private respondent has sold away the property. The authorities have taken action upon representation and notices have been issued and the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, M-J Block, Murshidabad. The report has been filed by the Additional District Magistrate and District Land & Land Reforms Officer, Murshidabad dated 16.08.2024. The relevant portion of the order thus reads as follows:

"The process of restoration of the suit LR Plot No. 173, JL No. 51, Mouza - Sahanagar,Block-Murshidabad-Jiaganj, Post Office & Police Station Murshidabad under District-Murshidabad is going on as per law preferred. In this regard the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, MurshidabadJiaganj, has been directed vide this office memo no. 34/3488/En/B-IV/L/2024 dated

16/08/2024, to initiate a proceeding as per provisions prescribed u/s 50(1)(f) of The West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 and the G.O. No. 213-1S/10/2020 dated 17/01/2020 of Principal Secretary & Land Reforms Commissioner, Land & Land Reforms and Refuge Relief and Rehabilitation Department, to restore the record in CLR to its earlier stage i.e. prior to the execution of the mutation cases involved in this matter being no.

MN/2023/1216/26142,MN/2023/1216/26 142 and MN/2023/1216/26142 after giving opportunity of being heard to the partie(s)- in-interest."

2. Thus, the grievance of the writ petitioner appears to have been fulfilled and action has already been initiated. We direct the authorities to take the matter to the logical end.

3. In the result, the writ petition stands disposed of.
