Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for more than 80 days. They have been falsely implicated. Charge sheet has been submitted. Property dispute between the neighbours gave rise to the present complaint. Learned counsels for the State and the defacto complainant oppose the prayer.

I have considered the material on record.

The petitioners have been implicated by several eye witnesses. Injuries inflicted upon the victim are extremely serious in nature. Charge sheet has been submitted. In the event the petitioners are released on bail at this stage, possibility of their influencing/ intimidating the witnesses, thereby protracting the trial cannot be ruled out.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioners therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
