The petitioner was the Assistant Teacher of Radhaballavpur Bhima Charan Basu Vidyapith (H.S.), Tamluk, District - Purba Medinipur, on attaining the age of superannuation she has retired from her said service on November 30, 2021.

The petitioner complaining delay in disbursement of her retiral benefits has filed the instant writ petition. Mr. De, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ petition though the Pension Payment Order (PPO) has been issued on January 17, 2024 in favour of the petitioner but there is an error in it. The copy of the said PPO is taken-on-record. Mr. Mina learned advocate for the State submits that for correction of the said error the petitioner is required to file an application before the District Inspector of School (SE) Purba Medinipur the respondent no. 4 herein.

It appears that in the PPO it has been noted that the acceptance of the application for commuted value of

pension(without Medical) is not in accordance with G.O. 65SS(E) dated April 17, 2017 hence invalid. The petitioner within a week from date shall apply before the respondent no. 4 for clarification and/or correction of the said note.

The said respondent within a week from date of receipt of such application shall make necessary clarification/correction in the said PPO and shall take forward steps for disbursement of the retiral benefits including pension. Upon receipt of the PPO the concerned treasury officer shall disburse the pension in favour of the petitioner without any delay.

W.P.A. 19335 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
