1. None for the petitioners.

2. The petitioners in this PIL prayed for conducting a proper inquiry in relation to alleged misappropriation of government money in Umrapur Gram Panchayat under Suti -II Development Block, Murshidabad.

3. Upon receiving notices, the respondent nos.8 and 9 have filed their reports.

4. The respondent no.8 in his report denied the allegations and stated that no such irregularity/illegality was found. This report was filed way back on 23rd February, 2022

5. Till date, petitioners have not chosen to file any exception.

6. Pertinently, the petitioners prayed for adjournment on 26th July, 2022 to file exception but did not file any such exception till date. Thereafter the petitioners prayed for time on 31.10.2022. On 30th July, 2025 nobody appeared for the petitioners.

On 07.08.2025 the petitioners were given last chance to argue the matter. Nobody appeared for the petitioners today.

7. In absence of filing any exception, we find no reason to disbelieve the report filed by respondent nos.8 and 9.

8. In view of continuous absence of the petitioners, it appears that the petitioners have lost interest and cause does not survive in the matter.

9. Accordingly, this PIL is dismissed for want of prosecution.
