Let the said photocopy of the application be taken on record.

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

By an order passed on May 13, 2022, the 5th respondent being the District Magistrate and Land Acquisition Collector, Purba Bardhaman was directed to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioners dated June 30, 2020 within a stipulated time frame. By an order passed on October 10, 2023, the District Magistrate and Land Acquisition Collector, Purba Bardhaman has stated that he is not the competent

authority to deal with the representation filed by the petitioner and the matter may be placed before the Commissioner, Bardhaman Division, being the Arbitrator. In view of the above, the Commissioner, Bardhaman Division, being the Arbitrator be impleaded as respondent no. 9 in the writ petition. The cause title be amended accordingly.

The 9th respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated June 30, 2020 within one month from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioners/their authorized representatives, in accordance with law.

CAN No. 1 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly. (Suvra Ghosh,J)
