Mr. Uttam Kr. Bhattacharyya Mr. Kaustuv Mishra ....for the petitioners Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record No one appears on behalf of the respondents.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows.

The private respondents had come up with illegal construction on Government land near the petitioners' property. This was blocking the ingress and egress to petitioners' property.

Accordingly, the petitioners made a representation on 15.06.2022 before the concerned authorities including before the concerned SDO, Tamluk (Purba Medinipur) praying for action in terms of the provisions of West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962. Yet, till date the petitioners have not received any response to the said representation.

It appears that representation of the petitioners dated 15.06.2022 is pending consideration before the concerned authorities.

In view of the above, let the respondent no. 3, SDO consider the petitioners' representation dated 15.06.2022 in accordance with law and upon hearing the interested parties as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that the merits of the case have not been gone into.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance.
