The petitioner seeks transfer of the Matrimonial Suit No.259 of 2023, which is pending before the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track 3rd Court at Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur. The petitioner seeks transfer on the ground of distance.

The petitioner submits the said suit should be transferred to Balurghat, where the petitioner resides with her parents. According to the petitioner, she would have to travel a long distance to attend the court leaving behind her two years old child.

The husband has filed the matrimonial suit seeking dissolution of marriage.

It appears that the distance between Balurghat and Raiganj is around 106 Kms. The distance can be covered in less than three hours. There are buses and trains regularly plying. Moreover, the petitioner lives with her parents and thus, it will not be difficult for her to attend the court leaving behind her child at home.

The application is, thus, disposed of without any orders.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
