1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. Instruction forwarded by the Divisional Fire Officer, Purba Medinipore Division signed on 31st August, 2023 be retained with the records.

3. The petitioner seeks for a report from the Divisional Fire Officer, so that he may proceed with his claim with the insurance company.

4. From the report of the Divisional Fire Officer it appears that, a sum of rupees one thousand is required to be deposited for obtaining the fire report.

5. The petitioner has neither deposited the prescribed fee nor has made any application for obtaining the same.

6. The instant writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by granting leave to the petitioner to apply in the prescribed format along with the prescribed fee for obtaining the fire report.

7. In the event such an application is made with the prescribed fee, then steps shall be taken by the Divisional Fire Officer to forward the fire report to the petitioner at the earliest.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
