Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent of the charges and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case allegedly for carrying 20.661 Kgs. of Ganja from Bangkok.

Learned advocate appearing for the Customs Authority opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the trial of the case has commenced and the accusations relate to import of contraband inside the country. Having considered that earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected on 10.02.2025

and the nature of the offence committed, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting bail.

Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 1053 of 2025 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
