1. None appears on behalf of the State.

2. The petitioner prays for supply of legible copy of the documents forwarded by the Executive Engineer, West Bengal State Rural Development Agency, Nadia Division under the provisions of the RTI Act.

3. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, the documents provided by the aforesaid respondent are illegible, not signed and sealed by the authority.

4. As it appears that, the information was provided to the petitioner under the RTI Act, the same ought to have been forwarded in such a manner that the same is legible. Forwarding illegible copies of the documents sought for will amount to non-supply of information.

5. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 5 to forward copy of the documents already forwarded to the petitioner, in such a manner, that the same are legible. The documents forwarded shall be properly signed and sealed by the authority.

6. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all the requisite formalities.
