Mr. Niladri Sekhar Ghosh Mr. Sourav Mondal ..for the petitioner Mr. Subhabrata Datta Mr. Debasish Sarkar ..for the State According to Mr. Datta, learned advocate for the State respondents, the allegations against the police authorities are false and baseless. With the assistance of the police authorities, the petitioner was put his possession of his house on November 9, 2020.

It is the specific case of the police that the petitioner had constructed an electrical fencing around his poultry farm. Some villagers who were not aware of the fencing were hurt, and one person died due to electrification. The local villages pressurised and the petitioner to pay compensation. There was a dispute between the petitioner and villagers. Thereafter, the issue was settled amongst the villagers, but the police authorities have categorically submitted that they were not involved in such process.

Under such circumstances, the allegation against the police authorities, have not been

substantiated. If the petitioner approaches the police authorities with any further complaint in future, the police authorities will act in accordance with law and maintain peace in the locality.

This order shall not be construed as an opinion of the Court on the issues which are pending between the petitioner and the villagers with regard to the electrification and claim for compensation.

The writ petition is dismissed.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
