Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the representation advanced to the Commissioner of Police, Barrackpore Police Commissionerate was not addressed by the concerned authorities. Petitioner is having dispute with the respondent no.4 i.e. his father and is demanding the medical documents for which he had to undergo treatment. The contents of the information furnished with the police authorities reflect that the petitioner was suffering from depression and there are other allegations also.

Learned advocate for the respondent no.4 is present.

Be that as it may, the nature of the information which has been furnished do not reflect any cognizable

offence. However, the documents relating to his treatment which the petitioner could not lay his hands upon cannot be a subject matter of the police authorities to interfere. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Court, if petitioner is of the view that he has been made to be mentally ill at the behest of his parents and seek a search warrant for recovery of the said documents.

Since an alternative and statutory remedy is available, I do not intend to interfere with the information so furnished, petitioner would take steps as directed above.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 19503 of 2025 disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.
