By this writ petition, petitioner has prayed for relief of direction upon the respondent West Bengal Electricity authority to provide him connection of Rural Agricultural Electricity for submersible pump on his agricultural land. It is the case of the petitioner that he has made application for such connection in the year 2015 and from time to time, he is approaching the authority but till date, no connection has been given.

Learned advocate for the respondent submits that the delay in providing the electricity connection to the petitioner is due to non-compliance of the formalities by the writ petitioner which he was asked by letter dated 3rd August, 2023.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition being WPA 19462 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent authority concerned to provide the aforesaid electricity connection to the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within three months from date subject to compliance of all the formalities by the petitioner which are required under the law.
