The petitioner is in custody for 143 days. It is contended that investigation is complete.

Learned lawyer appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. The petitioner was in the room with his wife where she was found murdered. No explanation is forthcoming from the petitioner about the homicidal death of his wife.

In view of the aforesaid clinching evidence on record, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The prayer for bail is rejected.
