1. Petitioner is the de facto complainant. He contends the criminal case is pending for four years and examination of prosecution witnesses have not commenced as yet.

2. Ms. Zareen Khan, who ordinarily appears for the State, is requested to appear in the instant case for the State. Let a copy of the petition be served upon her in course of the day. Learned Public Prosecutor is directed to regularize her appointment.

3. Victim of crime has a right to speedy justice. Allegations involve offences which attract life imprisonment.

4. Under such circumstances, I request the trial Court to ensure prompt examination of witnesses by fixing schedules at short intervals and conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

5. Accordingly, CRR 3366 of 2024 is disposed of. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
