Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner is in custody for about 86 days and prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The victim was murdered in her matrimonial home. The daughter of the petitioner and the victim has implicated the petitioner in the alleged murder. Trial is yet to commence. Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie role of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
