Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the writ petition may be disposed of in terms of a judgment and order passed by this court on 1st March, 2022 in WPA 19676 of 2021 (Rita Biswas & Ors. Versus State of West Bengal & Ors.) WPA 19766 of 2021 (Suhita Dutta & Ors. Versus The State of West Bengal & Ors). By the said judgment, the respondents in those two writ petitions, specially, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board were directed to consider the ranks and scores of the petitioners as published in 9th November, 2021 before the said list was cancelled by the notice dated 23rd November, 2021 for

placement in the available vacancies for admission to the post of Basic B.Sc.(Nursing), M.Sc.(Nursing) courses. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is represented.

W.P.A.20587 of 2021 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondents including respondent no.3 to consider the representations which may be made by the petitioners within a week from date. The respondents shall act in accordance with the statutory Rules taking into account the fact that the petitioners have missed the first two rounds of counselling and have foregone the process by reason of pendency of the present proceeding.

It is submitted that the petitioner no.12 has already been admitted to an MBBS course.
