After hearing learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, WPA 19845 of 2022 may be disposed of with a direction on the Land Manager, Bidhannagar to expedite and dispose of the application for mutation of the land and the building thereon within the time directed by this Court. The application was made on 11th April, 2017 and the petitioner submitted certified copies of the documents as directed by the said Authority on 18th January, 2021. The petitioner is one of the two surviving heirs of the original lessee of the land-in-question.

It is relevant to record that the Land Manager has not taken any steps despite two years having elapsed from the date on which the petitioner submitted the documents as called for. WPA 19845 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 3, the Land Manager, Urban Development Department of the State to dispose of the application within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order but not later than nine weeks from today. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date on which such order is passed after hearing all interested parties including the petitioner.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
