Chakraborty ... for the State The petitioner seeks a direction on the respondent, more particularly the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dakshin Dinajpur, to communicate the result and decision of a tender which was issued on 29th October, 2021 in respect of supply of cooked diet for the indoor patients to the District Hospital, Balurghat and Gangarampur. The petitioner complains that the authorities have not intimated any decision to the petitioner after 12th November, 2021 when the petitioner submitted its bid for the tender. The petitioner recently came across a document of the bid list details uploaded on 23rd August, 2022 and came to know that no further steps have been taken by the State authorities in terms of the said tender.

Learned A.A.A.G. appearing on behalf of the State authorities submits that a decision will soon be taken in the matter. Counsel submits that the terms of the existing contractor was extended in the meantime and is now due to expire on 30th September, 2022.
