Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had passed her higher secondary examination in the year 2017. Due to some financial stringency she could not pursue her course of graduation. But, after getting support from her husband she wants to pursue her graduation. She made a representation before the University authority in this regard, but they have not responded yet.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University relies on regulation of the West Bengal State University and submits that in the usual course no such admission is allowed if the candidate wants to pursue a graduation course three years after passing of higher secondary examination. From the regulation itself it appears that there is a provision by which the college authorities could consider whether to allow a candidate to pursue such course after a

period of three years from passing the higher secondary examination.

It also appears that the petitioner made representation in this regard, which has not been considered yet.

Let the respondent no.3 consider the petitioner's representation in this regard made on June 28, 2024 in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week thereafter, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner. Accordingly, WPA 20166 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
