Mr. Amit Kumar Ghosh ..for the petitioner Mr. Sujit Sankar Koley Mr. Swagatam Deb ..for WBSEDCL It appears that the final assessment order was passed on August 18, 2020, pursuant to an allegation of electricity hooking against the petitioner by WBSEDCL, requiring payment of Rs. 1,83,485/-.

Learned counsel representing the petitioner has submitted that, although the petitioner was unable to object to the provisional assessment due to the intervention of the COVID-19 pandemic, he is now willing and prepared to pay the finally assessed amount in suitable installments.

In view of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to pay the assessed amount in ten (10) equal installments. The first installment shall be paid within the first week of September 2025, with the remaining installments to be

paid within the first week of each succeeding month thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 19510 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
