State has submitted a report which reflects that Watgunge PS Case No.

197 dated 26.09.2024 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of law.

The report also speaks that a civil suit being TS 942 of 2024 has been preferred by the petitioner which is still

pending.

Learned advocate for the private respondent no.5 disputes and denies the contentions and submits that the respondent no.5 has also filed a case being Watgunge PS Case No. 159 dated 01.08.2024 Having considered that steps have been taken by the police authorities, I am of view that the police authorities would take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 20183 of 2024 is disposed of.
