The petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of grant of offer letter dated August 29, 2023, the validity of which was extended up to December 28, 2023 and in spite of his submission of statutory fees within the said extended period of validity of the offer letter and production of the vehicle in terms of the said offer letter, the respondent Regional Transport Authority is still indolent in pursuing further, towards grant of permanent stage carriage permit, in favour of the petitioner.

The records are corroborating, what has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner in the Court, as narrated above.

Under such circumstances, the Court finds it proper to dispose of this writ petition by directing the concerned respondent Regional Transport Authority, Purba Burdwan/respondent no. 2, to consider for
grant of permanent stage carriage permit to the petitioner after taking into account the statutory compliances made by him, as stated above, which are required to be made by an applicant, in accordance with law. Respondent No. 2 shall grant the petitioner an opportunity of hearing, for this purpose.

Its decision if adverse, to the petitioner shall be informed immediately to the petitioner, within a period of one week from the date of its order. 7.
Since no affidavits are called for, allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

This writ petition being WPA No. 20184 of 2024 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
