Learned counsel for the respondents raises preliminary objection with regard to maintainability of the writ petition on the ground that the entire cause of action of the writ petition lies within the State of Orissa and this Court has no territorial jurisdiction to entertain the writ petition.

Learned counsel has placed reliance on the authorities in Alchemist Ltd. & Anr. Vs. State Bank of Sikkim & Ors reported in AIR 2007 SC 1812 and WP No.6127 (W) 2012, disposed of by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court by judgment passed on 6th December, 2019. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks accommodation to make his submissions on this issue on the adjourned date.

Let the matter appear under the same heading on 14th March, 2023.

No coercive action be taken by the respondents against the petitioners with regard to the subject matter of the writ petition till the adjourned date.
