Mr. Ahmed, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner expresses his anxiety as the present petitioner even after regularly attending the court has been deprived of a verdict for a period of about 12 years.

I have assessed the records of the case and I find that some of the accused persons are absconding for a considerable period of time which is contributing to the delay. The last of the ordersheet which has been enclosed is of 02.12.2021 which reflects that date was fixed in the month of January 2022 for execution report.

In view of the long pendency of the case, I direct that the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 6th Court, Calcutta would on the next date so fixed exhaust the process of law so far as the other accused persons are concerned and thereafter within a period of 60 days, split up the case and

proceed with the trial of the present petitioner so that the same can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

Needless to state that the petitioner is suffering from mental agony for a period of 12 years. The learned trial court would at least fix a single date on each and every 45 days so that the trial can be concluded within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2595 of 2021 is disposed of. All pending connected applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
