Petitioner is in custody for 312 days. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the victim boy. His statement implicates the petitioner in the crime. Medical report corroborates his version. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date keeping in mind the statutory mandate under sub Section (2) of Section 35 of the POCSO Act. (Ajay Kumar Gupta,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
