The writ petitioners seek expedition of investigation of Gariahat P. S. Case No. 10 of 2022 dated 19.01.2022 under Sections 120B/406/420/467/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is submitted that police has already submitted a report before the Magistrate on 20th September, 2022 and the date for hearing has been fixed on 6th December, 2022.

This Court is of the view that the Magistrate is indeed monitoring the investigation in accordance with the Cr.P.C. The investigation may go on in accordance with law and the Magistrate may take steps as he may deem fit within the meaning of the Cr. P. C.

The reports of the Gariahat Police Station dated 05.09.2022 and 28.09.2022 are kept with the record. With the above circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
