Re-inspection report signed by the Assistant Engineer and Station Manager, Dadpur Customer Care Centre, WBSEDCL on December 9, 2024 is placed before this Court; let it be taken on record. 2.

A sketch has been annexed to the said report wherefrom it appears that the petitioner gets access to her land through the land of the railways. It further appears from the said report that no erection of pole can be possible on the subject land and that overhead wires for the purpose of effecting electricity connection to the land of the petitioner are required to be drawn over the land of the private respondents, but the same is being objected to by the private respondents.

In view of the above, the matter is referred to the District Magistrate, Hooghly to find out an alternative way for providing electricity connection to the land of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of

eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The District Magistrate shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondents and all other necessary parties, if required, prior to arriving at a final decision in the matter.

Leave is granted to the petitioner to communicate this order to the District Magistrate, Hooghly for necessary compliance.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
