Apprehending arrest in connection with Kaliachak Police Station Case No.20 of 2016 dated 15.01.2016 under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, the petitioner has filed the present application. Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considered the materials in the case diary. Prima facie, it appears that the petitioner is the owner of a plot of land where poppy plants were cultivated. The anticipatory bail application preferred by one Felu Mandal, who appears to be similarly situated with the petitioner, was rejected by a coordinate Bench of this Court. In view thereof, we are not inclined to exercise discretion in favour of the petitioner. As such, his prayer for anticipatory bail is refused.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM 8674 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.
