The petitioner has expressed his agony and anxiety as he is unable to stay at his residence.

The main thrust of contention is that since the petitioner has taken up certain social issues by filing a Public Interest Litigation, he has become an ire of certain miscreants of the locality, as such, he is feeling insecured to stay at his residence. Information, to that effect, was furnished with the police authorities, but, no steps have been taken.

Learned advocate for the State,

on the other hand, submits a report which reflects that so far as the report submitted by the Inspector-in-charge of Contai Police Station is concerned, it has been stated that no information has been furnished to the police station, as such, proper steps could not be taken.

It has further been contended on behalf of the State that if specific complaint is filed with the police authorities, they would ensure regarding safety and security of the petitioner.

I have considered the records of the case which reflects that, although, information/representation was addressed to the Inspector-in-charge of Contai Police Station, but, the same was sent on 10th April, 2025 by speed post.

If the petitioner is faced with fresh inconveniences, he will submit a representation/information to the concerned police authorities who will take steps in

accordance with law.

Report submitted encloses a written statement by the petitioner where he has stated that if subsequently it is required, he would file information/complaint to the police authorities. The police authorities, in such case, would consider whether any interference is called for and, if required, take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 19627 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the petitioner.
