Learned lawyer appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 216 days. He submits that the police filed charge sheet, therefore continued detention of the petitioner is not required. He submits that the criminal compliant is a result of an enmity between two sisters of the same family. Wife of the petitioner is on bail.

Learned lawyer for the State draws attention of the Court to the statement recorded under Section 164 of the victim and to the medical report.

Considering the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim and the medical report and considering the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner, therein, as appearing prima facie, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
