Party/parties is/are represented in the order of their name/names as printed above in the cause title. A copy of the Pension Payment Order (PPO) has been furnished in respect of Pratap Chandra Sahoo, ExHeadmaster of Shyamsundarpur Junior High School, Purba Medinipur. On the death of the said Mr. Sahoo, his wife, Smt. Usha Rani Sahoo, claimed pension which was pending since long on the ground as to whether Mr. Sahoo would receive salary or not for the period of his absence from school.

Ultimately being directed by this Court on earlier occasions, the School in question has calculated the leave salary of Mr. Sahoo (since deceased) and the said leave was assessed to be without pay.

The Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance has also finalised the PPO, a copy of which has been produced before this Court today. As the said PPO has been finally prepared no further order are required in this appeal. Accordingly, appeal FMA 465 of 2022 along with CAN 1 of 2018 (Old No. CAN 7749 of 2018), stands disposed of. This Court records its appreciation of the efforts by the parties concerned in resolving the issue of payment of family pension to a widow.
