Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act is pending for more than four years. Opposite party has sought to delay and dilate the proceeding and warrant of arrest was against him on a number of occasions.

In view of the aforesaid submission and in light of the materials on record I am of the opinion the proceeding requires to be disposed of at an early date.

Under such circumstances, I request the learned Magistrate to take necessary steps for disposal of the proceeding as expeditiously as possible keeping in mind the statutory mandate under Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instrument Act.

Parties shall co-operate with the Magistrate in that regard.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
