1. Heard learned Advocates for the parties.

2. Petitioner had absconded for a protracted period of time. After his arrest, trial has commenced. His prayer for bail was rejected in March, 2024 and Trial Court was requested to conclude trial within a year. Thereafter a number of witnesses have been examined. The time frame proposed for conclusion of trial in the earlier order has not expired.

3. Under such circumstances and in view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

4. The prayer for bail is rejected.
