Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Eastern Railways places the bid document dated 1st July, 2022 which states that the bid offer validity is 60 days from the bid opening date which is 22nd July, 2022. Counsel submits that 60 days is expiring today, i.e. 21.09.2022 and hence the respondents shall have to cancel the present tender and issue a new tender within a week from today.

Given the stand taken on behalf of the Railways, nothing remains in the writ petition and the same is accordingly disposed of having become infructuous.
