Petitioners are directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Aniket Mitra, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course. Learned advocate for the petitioners has expressed anxiety as the present case being Muchipara P. S. Case No. 95 dated 22.05.2019 was initiated almost more than four and half years ago and till date after submission of chargesheet and framing of charge, only one witness has been examined out of 14 cited witnesses of the prosecution.

Learned advocate submits that the next date is fixed on 4th September, 2023.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioners have been regularly attending the court and facing the agony of a long criminal trial, I direct the learned trial court on and from 4th September, 2023 would fix a schedule consisting of three dates and

fix a schedule once in every sixty days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties. In case any of the witnesses is not available, the learned court would directly issue notice to the Assistant Commissioner of Police who is in charge of Muchipara PS and would take steps for ensuring regarding the availability of the witnesses concerned on the dates so fixed for evidence. The Public Prosecutor appearing in the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All efforts be taken by the stake-holders to cooperate with the trial court so that the trial is concluded within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3287 of 2022 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
